El 11 de septiembre se celebra la Diada Nacional de Catalunya para conmemorar la caída de Barcelona en manos de las tropas borbónicas durante la Guerra de Sucesión Española en 1714… pero en este día también muchas personas y organizaciones políticas reclaman la independencia de Catalunya respecto a España. El año pasado fue una gran manifestación y en esta oportunidad se realizó la llamada Via Catalana, una cadena humana que cruzó toda la Comunidad Autónoma, desde la Comunitat Valenciana hasta la frontera con Francia. Estas son algunas fotos de su paso por la ciudad de Barcelona.

The Diada Nacional de Catalunya (The National Day of Catalonia) is celebrated on September 11th to commemorate the the defeat of the Catalan troops fighting during the War of the Spanish Succession in 1714… but this also lots of people and organizations claim the independence of Catalonia from Spain. Last year a huge manifestation took place and this time a human chain called Via Catalana was made, crossing the Autonomous Community from Comunitat Valenciana to the French Border. These are some of the photos that I took on its way through the city of Barcelona.
